Joss and Eliza Interview – Dollhouse Discussed

There’s been a lot of buzz online regarding the 6th episode of Dollhouse. The sixth episode has been rumored to be the episode where Joss was able to really take control of the show’s direction (from Fox), and is also supposed to be the episode where the show really comes together and sets off in its intended direction. Joss Whedon, and Eliza Dushku recently did a panel where they discussed Dollhouse, it’s direction, how it came about, and what other Whedonite actors will make appearances on the show. (Besides Amy Acker, and Dushku.) The “Sixth” episode is mentioned as well with Whedon stating, [the story arch has been warming up since episode 1]…”around episode 6, it starts to boil.”

You can listen to the panel discussion HERE.

All Hail the new Book!

This parody expresses how I feel about gadgets trying to convince us that they’re not gadgets for gadget’s sake, but an innovation.

I’m sorry- a book is a book. It’s words, on paper, meant to be read. A book in any other form isn’t a book. It’s something…else. An audio-book? Not a book. It’s a radio play. A book by definition is NOT an auditory medium. It’d be like doing a movie of a comic and still calling it a comic. A painting on canvas copied and printed on glossy paper is no longer a painting. It’s a print. I realized I’ve digressed here from the Kindle itself, but this line of thought is where the Kindle takes me.

Star Wars Film Strip

A buddy of mine sent me a link to this, and I just had to post about it. It’s a film strip version of Star Wars. If you’re too young to remember what a film strip is, it’s basically a slide show with a soundtrack. Oh, Wait. Hold on. If you don’t know what a film strip is, you probably think a slide show is something you make with Powerpoint. You know what? Nevermind. I’m old and your not. So what?! Who do you think you are you little punk?! Get off my lawn! But, I digress.

Take a look at this horrid film strip. It’ll make you laugh, and at the same time take you back to that classroom in school where it took every ounce of strength for you to stay awake while the teacher made you sit through an excruciatingly boring film strip.
