My G3 iBook is finally reaching the end of her usefulness. After 4 good years, the poor girl just doesn’t have what it takes to satisfy me anymore. She’s not fast enough. She overheats too easy. She can’t do the work I need her to do anymore. And, she whines all the time. It’s time to upgrade to the new slim, fast, quiet, smooth, pretty MacBook. I’d go with a Pro, but they’re just too expensive for my budget, and besides – I can get the regular MacBook to do what I want just as well, for less money! I’m going to order her online, but I’ll have to get the funds first. Hopefully she’ll be on her way by the end of the week. I can’t wait!

Sweet. I want a black MacBook. With a gig of ram. Saving my nickles and dimes for one now. My old TiBook is starting to come apart at the seems. Time for a home tech refresh. If I only had the money.

Your duty: post pics of the new laptop upon arrival (or soon thereafter). And give us a review… tell us everything… is that 13″ screen good? How are the widescreen graphics? Is resolution (much) better then the old iBooks? I’m all questions. 🙂
What’s interesting is that you can buy the white mid-level MacBook, upgrade it to 80GB HD, and 1GB RAM for the same price as the Black MacBook. (So basically, you can get more performance out of the white one for the same price.)
