I’ve alluded to this on my FaceBook page, but not with much detail so I figured I post something about it here. <\/p>\n
We noticed over the last couple weeks that Ruby would have bouts where her breathing would become fast and shallow. We didn’t think much about it at first because Toy Poodles have windpipe issues anyway. Late last week though, her “funny” breathing became the norm, so we got worried. We took her to the vet, and come to find out, she has a heart murmur, pneumonia, and an enlarged heart. The vet put her on antibiotics for the pneumonia, and on Lasix for the fluid in her lungs and heart. Needless to say, she’s MUCH better. Once these rounds of meds are done, she’ll go in for another check-up and then she’ll be put on a daily medication for her heart murmur. So, she should be fine, she’ll just need to take her murmur pill for the rest of her life. Thanks to everyone who expressed their concern!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
