New Griffin Products - Neato.

I decided to check out Griffin Technology's website today to see what products they offered to connect my Turntable to my Mac. Little did I know, they're releasing a plethora of new toys. (Yes El Guapo, They have a plethora.)

First on the list is the Firewave. Finally, 5.1 Surround Sound for your Mac. PCs have had consumer level surround sound for years, and until now the options for Mac uses has been almost non exisitant. Its also powered by Firewire, so there's no need for a power adapter. You'll have to supply your own speakers however.

Next up, BlueTrip. The BlueTrip is a Bluetooth transmitter that you can attach to your iPod, which transmits your music to a BT receiving station connected to your stereo. It's a pretty nifty idea, and I bet it sounds better, and is more reliable than the FM transmitters.

Lastly, we come to the SmartDeck The SmartDeck is a cassette adapter for playing your iPod's music through your tape deck's playback head. Yeah, so what? Everybody's seen those, right? Well, mostly. The SmartDeck allows you to contol your iPod's Pause, Skip, and Scan functions using the buttons on your car's tape deck. No more fumbling for your iPod in the passenger seat or dash shelf to skip to the next track. I think that's a pretty nifty idea.

There are more new items on the way from Griffin on their website, but I focused on my favorite 3. I gotta say, they're neato.
