Yikes! Email Storm!

As of Monday afternoon, my echnet.com email accounts no longer work. It appears that some jackass in China decided it would be a good idea to use my domain name to spam people. He sent out a mass email using my domain name, and all the bounces are coming back to my default email account at vervehosting.com. In order to save the server from being loaded down and turned into a boat anchor, Vervehosting redirected all the bounces going to the non-exsistant echnet.com address to /dev/null and have changed their DNS to prevent any email from reaching the server at all. I'm working with Vervehosting to get my email service restored, but if the mail storm is still occuring, they don't have a lot they can do. For those of you who need to get in touch with me, use my RoadRunner email address.

On a side note, there really should be a special place in Hell for spammers. Perhaps a level of hell where for eternity they must buy the products they advertise and use them. Whoa, they'd end up having to use an infinte amount of viagra, and watch an infinite amount of animal porn. Can anyone say "infinite chaffing?" ;-)
