VIR Holiday Laps Rule!

I went to Virginia International Raceway today and drove my Sentra Spec-V around the full road course for about 6 laps. It was a real blast. There was no passing allowed, and everyone had to follow a pace car, but the speed at which we took the course was perfect for the inexperienced race driver. On the straightaways I reached speeds in excess of 90mph, and in order to keep up with the pace car you had to pick your lines carefully in the corners, and allow your car to drift ever-so-slightly. VIR does this event every year to raise money for the Salvation Army during the holidays. The entry fee was a measily $25. If VIR continues to organize this event, I'll have to do this every year!

Cat People Beware!

This is pretty damn funny, but also disturbing...

http://www.timesonline.co.uk/article/0,,8122-826557,00.html

The really scary thing about this is that as I was typing this, my cat ran up to me while I was on the couch and stared at me with his red reflective eyes....creepy...
